It sounds like the neighbors

It sounds like the neighbors are almost as guilty for not reporting this sooner. Can they answer 'yes' to the obvious question...."Did I do everything possible to keep this from happening'? The welfare of children and animals is everyone's concern. TAKE ACTION even if is risky. What is a small risk if you save a life?

I was not surprised at all to

I was not surprised at all to read this guys name in conection with this artical or of the charges. I was told of this artical and to look it up by one of your county animal control officers. I know this guy stood at auctions as the killer buyer. You know, the guy that bought the horses at auction to sell for slaughter for people in other countries to eat. Here is another piece of information for you, he has more than one place in stanislaus county that he keeps his horses. I must say that he does sell horses to the general public on occassion that are fine riding horses. I know a few people that have gotten one or two from him and they are great horses. I am not 100% behind Mariposa County Animal control though. What they are doing to a friend of mine is in every sense of the word harrassment. A bunch of us helped her get in compliance with their demands and they said her horses were looking much better. Then they turn around and file felony animal neglect charges against her. Do you put a horse down because it has arthritis? Is it against the law to allow colts to mature to 3 years of age before you geld them? Do we put down our parents and grand parents when they get arthritis? Who is right and who is wrong. Thank God there are higher courts in this land than county courts. But that case is still before the courts and so we,some members of the horse rescue world are watching very closely.

This guy just took my

This guy just took my daughter's horse saying he knows the horses background and it would end up hurting her. He took the horse saying he would return a better one to her. In fear of her being hurt, he was allowed to take the horse. Now we're sick because one of the horses found on Gatz ranch may be one of my daughters. Why would a man want to take on another horse when he couldn't or shall I say "didn't" take care of the ones he already had. Anyone who can hurt an animal or make one suffer is as sick as human beings can get. Animals do nothing but wait to be loved by us. This guy needs to be dealt with badly.
