Lois Link

Lois Link was born in

Chicago, Ill., Sept. 8, 1918. She passed peacefully into God's eternal care on Jan. 6, in Oxnard.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles T. Link Jr.; loving mother of Barbara Burke and the late William Burke, Doria Fanning and husband Vladimir of Mariposa; caring sister of Arloa Kelsen; devoted grandmother to William and Kerry Bernard, Deanna Bernard, Stephen and Courtney Burke, Stuart and Julie Burke, Shelli and Bill Griffin, Staci Burke; great-grandmother to Marcus and Alex Bernard, Jackson and Reagan Burke, Kennedy and Lincoln Burke and Jason and Jared Griffin.

Lois' fondest memories were at her Lutheran Church Camp in Arcadia, Mich. Her dearest love was drawing and painting. She was offered a fashion illustrator position in Chicago. Lois and Charles were avid ballroom dancers and kayakers. She enjoyed reading, mythology, gardening, cooking, was excellent at crossword puzzles and had an elegant sense of fashion.

Lois was an active and faithful member of the Lutheran Church all her life holding many service positions. Devotion and care to her family was paramount in her life and what she was most proud of. Her family and friends love her dearly and she lives on in our hearts forever.

The funeral and graveside ceremony were held at Mt. Vernon Memorial Chapel in Fair Oaks on Jan. 22. The family thanked Roze Room Hospice and Glenwood Care Center for their loving care during their mother's last two years.
