Grizzlies going back to Orestimba Tuesday

Game will be decided in OT play

Mariposa's varsity Grizzly gridders are Newman bound. On Tuesday at 6 p.m. Mariposa will finish the non-league contest with Orestimba's Warriors that ended in a tie on Friday.

The game will take up in the third overtime period and continue until there is a winner. The officials blew it last Friday night, going through the first two overtime periods and then calling it a tie. CIF abolished ties when it reformatted the playoff process.

Just like the previous two overtime sessions, each team will get the ball at the 10-yard line with a first-and-goal. As soon as one team scores, and one doesn't the contest will be decided.

Mariposa travels to Livingston Friday night to face the unbeaten Wolves. The JV game kicks off at 5:30 p.m., followed by the varsity clash at 7:30 p.m.
