Krystal Parker and Ricky Thatcher of Mariposa have announced the birth of their son, Braxten Lee Thatcher. He was born Aug. 25 at Mercy Medical Center in Merced. He weighed eight pounds and was 21 and one-half inches long.

His maternal grandparents are Kord and Susan Parker of Mariposa. His paternal grandparents are Buddy and Sue Thatcher, also of Mariposa.
