My name is Kelsey Wight, and I am a member of the Triangle 4-H Club, and this is my third year of 4-H and first lamb project. I would like to invite you to the Junior Livestock Auction at the Mariposa County Fair. The auction will be on Sunday, Sept. 5, at 3 p.m. at the Strathearn Pavilion. I am planning to sell my market lamb at this sale.

I have spent many hours feeding, watering, walking and working with “Dasha,” my lamb, for the show at the Mariposa County Fair. I have learned that to raise a lamb takes a lot of time and patience. By being confident, the lamb learns to not be afraid. I have also learned about the different breeds of lambs, feeding them, and I presented the different breeds of sheep and their purpose for my 4-H project.

Come enjoy a day at the fair, see all the 4-H animals and spend some time at the auction barn. Your bids will make a difference whether you buy Dasha or some other member’s animal. If you have any questions, please call the fair office at 966-2432.
