Thank you
I wanted to thank everyone for your donations, which made it possible for me to go to Washington D.C. this June
I saw many famous memorials. A few of them were the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the Vietnam Wall and the Holocaust Memorial. It was quite a moving experience to see. As well, we went to see the Pentagon, the Capitol, the Senate and the House of Representatives and we saw the White House from the outside. The House of Representatives, were voting on health care issues.
We went to Alexandria, Virginia and heard many ghost stories. One of the ghost stories I heard was about the house that Alexandria’s founder built. They believed that if you buried a dead cat inside your house the cat’s spirit would protect it. This did not bring this home good luck, three people fell from a window in the house to their death.
Then we traveled to Philadelphia and went to the Smithsonian. We visited the space and air museum where I saw replicas of rockets, planes and space probes. At the Animals around the World Museum they showed animals from the past to the present. The Native Americans museum showed exhibits of their past. We were allowed to witness the changing of the guards at the Unknown Soldier’s grave. It was amazing how formal it was.
It was a wonderful trip, and I am very thankful to you all.
