Support 4-H and FFA

Hello, my name is Claire Bullis, and I’m 14-years-old. This will be my fifth year showing a sheep in the Cathey’s Valley 4-H Club. I just started school as a freshman at Mariposa County High School, so this will be my last year in 4- H, until I move on to FFA. So I’m trying to make my last year in 4-H the best year I’ve had yet.

I have taken on the responsibility to be the president of my local 4-H club. At first I was nervous about serving as the president, but after a couple of meetings, the butterflies in my stomach were gone, and I had a lot of fun doing the job. It wasn’t an easy commitment to make, but it taught me the value of responsibility and improved my public speaking.

I have been working hard this year to be the best president that I could be and getting my sheep ready for fair, so I hope you can come and support me and my fellow 4-H and FFA members at this year’s Mariposa County Fair. The Junior Livestock Auction will be held at the Strathearn Pavilion on Sunday, Sept. 6, at 3 p.m. If you could make it to this event, we would greatly appreciate your support.

I hope to see you at this year’s fair. If you have questions, please ask.

Claire Bullis
