Krystal Ann Jones of Mariposa passed away July 27 at Modesto Memorial Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident on April 27. She was 20.

Krystal was born Oct. 31, 1989, in Fresno. She was a graduate of Yosemite-El Portal High School. She loved swimming in the Merced River and cooking for friends and family. Her family will miss her warm smile and gentle ways.

She is survived by her father, Arthur Jones; brother, Jeffrey; and sister, Allison; mother, Sharon Moran; grandmother, Doris Jones; aunt, Carolyn Taggart; aunt and uncle, Karen and Kenneth Jones; cousins, Martin Taggart; Marc Farias-Jones; Kent Jones, Greg Jones and Leah Santibanez.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the El Portal Community Hall on Saturday, Aug. 21 at 1 p.m.
