New students enrolling at Mariposa County High School this fall will need to pre-register. Enrollment packages are available for pick up at the MCHS counseling office from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, or are available on the Mariposa County High School Web site at www.mchs.mariposa.k12.ca.us

Parents or guardians along with their student must return the completed packet prior to Aug. 19 to enroll in classes in time for the first day of school, Aug. 24. Families will need to provide a birth certificate, immunization history, and a complete transcript from the prior school along with the enrollment packet. Math placement testing will be on Aug. 23 at 4 p.m. Those unable to enroll prior to Aug. 20, must call to schedule an enrollment appointment.

Open registration dates are Aug. 17, 18 and 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students and their parent(s) or guardian(s) will first meet with the registrar and then a school counselor to create their schedule for the 2010-2011 school year.

In addition to completing the enrollment paperwork, the following information is required in order to register: Birth certificate, immunization record, transfer or check out grades from the previous school (does not apply to incoming ninth graders), transcript from previous school

does not apply to incoming ninth graders), special education students must have a current copy of their I.E.P. before an enrollment appointment can be set up; intra or inter-district agreement, if applicable; parent authorization if student is not residing with parent or legal guardian and a copy of custody agreement or any restraining order information.
