Columbia College begins sign-ups
Columbia College will host X-Reg, or Extreme Registration, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 on the college campus. Students can receive assistance with completing an application for admission, complete assessment and orientation, plus register for classes, pay fees, buy books, get student ID cards, purchase parking passes, find out about campus child care and more.
Columbia College staff will be available to provide information on financial aid and special programs, like EOPS
Extended Opportunity Programs and Services) and DSPS (Disabled Students Programs and Services). Students will also learn how to access “connectColumbia” to register online, obtain grades and get instructions on activating their student e-mail accounts.
Financial aid professionals will be available to answer questions and provide oneon one assistance to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application online.
In order to complete the FAFSA students will need to bring a 2009 federal income tax form(s) and any 2009 income data collected for both the student and parent(s). For more information on Financial Aid or this workshop call the Columbia College Financial Aid Office at 588-5105.
Open registration starts on Aug. 14 and the fall semester runs from Aug. 30 to Dec. 18. Registration can be completed online at www.gocolumbia.edu and clicking on “connectColumbia,” or in person at the Admissions and Records Office. For more information, contact Columbia College at 588-5231.
