Historical exhibit remains

An historical exhibit of photos and memorabilia remains on display in the annex room of the Le Grand Community Building at 13038 Jefferson Street. This unique display is a result of many months of preparation by a spirited group of Le Grand High School alumni.

The 2009-10 school year commemorated the school’s 100th anniversary, and a crowd of over 2,000 joined in a celebration at the homecoming football game last October. A highlight of this afternoon and evening event was an extensive representation of 10 decades in photographs, letters, and treasured keepsakes.

Members of the community and visitors to Le Grand are welcome to peruse this creative display. Pat Mize, manager of the Le Grand Community Services District (LGCSD) agreed to watch over this exhibit and will open for those interested Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

To insure access and a sufficient window of time to enjoy the exhibit, call LGCSD at 389-4173. The exhibit will be on display through the summer.
