Leland was born in Los Angeles on Jan. 29, 1926 to the late Oral and Luella Miller (Caress). Leland recently passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010.

Leland lived in Mariposa for 28 years. Leland was a World War II veteran and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Mariposa.

He is survived by his daughter Vicky and two sons Dean and Keith Miller, and also his grandsons Travis, Shaun, Richard, and granddaughter Amanda.

A church service will be held for Leland on Friday, July 30 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church on Sixth and Bullion Streets in Mariposa, with a burial at 2 p.m. at the Masonic Cemetery in Mariposa.

All services are under the direction of Mariposa Funeral Home.
