July 12: •Someone was brandishing a weapon on Tip Top Road. •There was a rattlesnake problem on Grist Road. •Contraband was found at the jail. •A family problem was reported on Jones Street. •There was a bear in the Silva Road area.

July 13: •An injured baby squirrel was found on Carter Road. •Trespassing was reported at the Hasloe Mine. •Cattle were on Greeley Hill Road. •There was an out of control juvenile on Bullion Street.

July 14: •There was an injured fawn on Manzanita Way. •An airplane was overdue at the Mariposa Airport. •A burglar alarm was sounding on Dolorosa Street. •A complaint came in on Cerro Sierra Road about a loud generator.

July 15: •Someone threw a cigarette out on Highway 49 South. •Fireworks were going off in the Gold Bowl. •There was a bear in the Avoca Vale Road area. •Grand theft was report on Moore Creek Road.

July 16: •A fawn was in distress on Triangle Road. •There was a bear in the Parmabelle Road area. •Reckless driving was reported on Meadow Lane. •There was a hazardous materials issue at the Art Park. •Threatening messages were reported on Princeton Way.

July 17: •There was a sick skunk on Highway 49 in Coulterville. •Phone lines were down and service was out in the Ninth and Tenth Street areas. •There was a minor injury accident on Hornitos Road. •Deputies responded to a domestic dispute on Ben Hur Road.

July 18: •Dispatch took a call about a verbal dispute on Meadow Lane. •Firewood was stolen in Fish Camp. •A woman was screaming on Stumpfield Mountain Road. •Medication was stolen on Darrah Road.

The above listed calls are actual reports to Mariposa County Sheriff’s Dispatch. These are just a sampling of yesterday's calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
