Washington state park closed after shooting

SEATTLE (AP) — A state park near Seattle remains closed following a Saturday night shooting that left two men dead and four wounded.

King County Sheriff's deputy John Urquhart says Lake Sammamish State Park will be closed for most or all of Sunday while detectives collect evidence.

Six people were arrested following the shooting, which happened around 9 p.m. as a group gathered for a party.

Swedish Medical Center spokesman Ed Boyle told The Seattle Times that a 29-year-old man with gunshot injuries was treated at the hospital's emergency facility in Issaquah before being transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Urquhart says two other wounded men were taken to Harborview, while the fourth was taken to a Bellevue hospital. A Harborview spokesman told the newspaper early Sunday that one man was in serious condition and the other two were in satisfactory condition.

No names were released.
