Because of health issues, I have been unable to participate to the extent I usually do. But I want to second the thanks expressed in this article. Without the support we receive from all segments of the Mariposa Community... all of the success and accolades earned by the band over the years would not have been possible. Also, there is a very special group out there who are our biggest fans, staunchest supporters... and the real heroes of allowing us the opportunity to represent the school and community; the Band Boosters. We have a special, and precious, asset in this community... we call ourselves the "Band Family" and it has been the greatest honor of my life to be associated with them and the community. To all of those who kept me in their thoughts and prayers... rest assured I will be back in front of the Grizzly Band this fall; and we will be working as hard as ever to live up to our title, "Pride of the Sierra".
