Fire blazing on Colorado Road
Gazette Photo by Dan Tucker--A CAL FIRE bomber drops its payload on a wildfire burning off of Colorado Road Thursday afternoon.Thursday (July 1, 2010) 4:26p.m.---A vegetation fire broke out on Colorado Road about a mile and half from Whitlock Road approximately an hour ago.
Resources from CAL FIRE, Mariposa County Fire, Sierra National Forest and the Mt. Bullion CDC camp almost have the blaze surrounded in a heavily wooded area. The fire is burning toward Crystal Aire Drive, but should be contained shortly. At this time, the fire is reported to have consumed 5 to 10 acres and no structures have been involved.
