Lila Jean Crocker, a life-long Mariposa County resident and Miwok Indian passed away on Saturday, June 5, at Merced Living Care Center in Merced, at the age of 77. She was born on Aug. 6, 1932, in Mariposa, to the late William and Rowena (Steele) Johnson. Lila was a homemaker for 57 years.

Lila is survived by her loving husband, Forrest W. Crocker; her sons, David Crocker, Gary Crocker and Steve Crocker. Also surviving are her sisters and brother, Ester Hibpshman, Sharon Williams and Clyde Johnson

A graveside service to honor Lila will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 26 at the Mariposa Cemetery.

All funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Mariposa Funeral Home.
