I would like to invite all the local residents who have access to a computer to log on to www.chevybaseball.com and enter their contest called “Building Diamonds and Dreams.” Several weeks ago I went on this Web site to vote and our place among cities in the U.S. was around 3980th place.

Now our placement is in the 60’s because I have been bugging all my friends using Facebook and e-mails. I want to spread the word to the whole community and appreciate the GAZETTE for this opportunity.

You can vote daily. You do have to fill out a form/questionnaire each time, but it’s worth the effort if it puts us in the running to get a new “Field of Dreams” for our wonderful youth. Also, someone has a chance to win a new Chevrolet.

Mariposa is such a wonderful community and I’m very excited about this opportunity to put us in the running to win a new baseball field for our kids and adults too. I encourage everyone to get on those computers, go the Web site and vote everyday. The contest ends July 16.
