May 31: •Someone expressed concern for an animal on Highway 49 North. •There were two vegetation fires reported on Highway 132 and Hornitos Road. •Someone was panhandling at Stage Stop. •There was a domestic dispute on Park Circle Drive.

June 1: •A prowler was reported on Silva Road. •A shoplifter was in custody at Pioneer Market. •A steer was lost on Sherrod Road. •A fight at the Art Park ended with an arrest. •A campfire escaped it boundaries on Incline Road.

June 2: •Three horses were loose on Triangle Road. •A vehicle was in a ditch on Colorado Road. •A case of identity theft was reported on Piney Creek Road. •Petty theft was in progress on Highway 140.

June 3: •A fawn was abandoned on Colorado Road. •A horse was injured on Oak Road. •There was a verbal dispute on Ben Hur Road. •Deputies responded to a possible suicide on Oakridge Road.

June 4: •Threats were reported on East Westfall Road. •There was a traffic accident on Usona Road. •Suspicious persons were reported in Cathey’s Valley and at Mariposa County High School. •A drug deal ended with two arrests at the Bootjack Market.

June 5: •A baby owl was on a porch on Usona Road. •Loud music was reported on Easy Street. •A vehicle hit a rock near Briceburg. •An abandoned child was reported at Glacier Point.

June 6: •There was a vegetation fire near Exechequer. •Underage drinking was reported in Mariposa. •Someone was camping out of bounds near Indian Flat. •Dispatch took a noise complaint at the Super 8 Motel.

The above listed calls are actual reports to Mariposa County Sheriff’s Dispatch. These are just a sampling of yesterday's calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
