On behalf of the players, coaches, and athletic director of Mariposa Middle School, we would like to express our utmost gratitude to Bob Blackburn’s Mountain Automotive and RV Center, Sierra Masonry Inc., The Fitness Zone II, and Smith Concrete Construction for their generous donation to our MMS baseball team. As you know, due to the economy, the MMS athletic program is no longer funded by the school district. The ability to purchase all of the equipment and materials required to provide a successful program can be very expensive. The funding that each of you so graciously provided benefited our baseball players not only on the field but helped pay for awards for the end of the season barbecue and banquet. This money helped purchase baseballs, tournament entry fees, and baseball hats for the entire team. In doing so, there was no longer the worry of how our coaches were going to outfit their team properly without funds. We thank you for this wonderful gift of peace of mind.

Once again, the small businesses of our great town stepped up to the plate with overwhelming support for our Mariposa athletes. Your generosity provided not only a vital component to the team’s productive season, but with equipment they could be proud of, our team was inspired with a winning attitude. We thank you for all of your support and your continued commitment to excellence.
