Mariposa Safe Families, Inc. invites grandparents and kinship care providers to join them on the first and third Friday of every month for a Grand Families Coffee.

Over the last 25 years, the number of children being raised by someone other than a parent has increased dramatically, with the vast majority of these children being raised by their grandparents.

The Grand Families Coffee provides an opportunity to be with others who understand, help provide support to get past the rough spots, and can give hope that others can not only survive this new adventure of raising children but flourish and bring forth a new generation of responsible human beings.

By attending participants will gain information, inside tips, and friendships that will be invaluable in caring for the child and themselves. Guest speakers have been invited to speak on various topics from legal issues to educational concerns.

Child care is provided for those who attend. Call in advance at 966-2211 if child care is desired or for more information.
