Kudos to the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1261 for a fantastic job of sponsoring the Kids’ Day at the airport event held Saturday, May 15, at the Mariposa Airport. This was a wonderful opportunity for our children to learn about flying with a hands-on flight simulator and other educational activities.

I would also like to give a big thank you to all the pilots who so graciously gave their time to give the kids a free airplane ride. What an awesome experience, one that will never be forgotten. As my grandson said, “Wow, the town sure looks different from up there.” I would encourage the EAA to hold more of these events annually. Again, thanks to all involved.
