Monday, May 31-- 1:58 p.m---For the second time in the last three years, Mariposa's varsity baseball team is the Sac-Joaquin Section, Division VI champion.

In a Monday afternoon contest that began at noon in Lodi, the Grizzlies upended Golden Sierra, 5-1, to claim the section pennant. Mariposa never trailed in this game after jumping out in front, 1-0 at the end of the first inning.
