May 17: •Horses were on Old Highway. •There was a tree on Highway 140. •A cow was on Hidalgo Way. •Threats were reported from Coakley Circle.

May 18: •Someone heard loud, banging noises at PD Quick. •There was a large rodent in a garage on Creekview Road. •Deputies responded to a family dispute on Smith Road. •An argument was reported in Mt. Bullion.

May 19: •Suspicious circumstances were reported on 11th Street. •A vehicle was parked in front of a fire hydrant on Zarzal Court. •There was a landlord/tenant dispute on Chicharra Way.

May 20: •Deputies took a child abuse report on Meadow Lane. •Someone complained about too many cats on Whitmore Drive. •Workplace harassment was reported on Oak Road. •A vehicle was vandalized on Miwuk Road.

May 21: •Marijuana garden information was reported from Chowchilla Mountain Road. •Deputies responded to a suicidal subject in Mariposa. •A moutain lion got hit by a car on Yosemite Oaks Road. •Harassing phone calls were reported on Homestead Road.

May 22: •Dispatch took a loud music complaint on Smith Road. •A floor jack was stolen on Leonard Road. •Officials at John C. Fremont Hospital reported an accidental shooting. •Shooting was reported on Indian Peak Road.

May 23: •There was a verbal dispute at Stage Stop. •Deputies responded to a domestic dispute on Dexter Road. •A power line was down on Yaqui Gulch Road. •Aggressive dogs were loose on Wildcat Road. •Trespassing was reported in El Portal.

The above listed calls are actual reports to Mariposa County Sheriff’s Dispatch. These are just a sampling of yesterday's calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
