Arthur T. Gustafson, Jr., passed into the hereafter at 4 a.m. on Friday, April 30.

Art worked at the Ahwahnee Hotel for the past 20 years. Being a personable, people person, that was the only place he wanted to work. At home in Midpines, he dearly loved his family and his animals (three horses, 11 chickens, four dogs, three cats and 20-30 rabbits), not to forget his countless and endless friends and co-workers. He will be missed for the rest of his family’s and friends’ lives.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 16 years, Angie Estrada Gustafson; his daughter, Anya M. Gustafson; his father, Arthur Gustafson, Sr. of Fairview Heights, Ill.; his sister, Virginia Jackson of Lancaster; and Ethel Minton and Brenda Gustafson of Illinois.

Arthur is preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Miles Gustafson; and his step-mother, Marian Gustafson.

A celebration of his life is set for Saturday, May 22 from 2 to 5:30 p.m. at the Midpines Community Hall.
