What I want in a supervisor

When I am deciding who to vote for as a member of the board of supervisors, I look for a candidate who possesses certain qualities.

These attributes include intelligence and common sense. I want someone who is morally and ethically above reproach, cannot be bought or sold by anyone and who owes no allegiance to any special interest group.

I look for a person who is honest, fair-minded and who will apply the laws, ordinances and policies equally to everyone but who is also willing to work for changes to the rules when needed.

A supervisor must research and become educated on all items of business that come before the board. In addition, they must ask questions and demand clarification about the many critical issues that determine the future of our county. They must not stop asking until all questions are satisfactorily answered.

Because the decisions made by each supervisor affect every citizen in the county, I support the re-election of Janet Mankins-bibby, the candidate in District 3 who possesses all, and more, of these qualities.
