The Mariposa Butterfly Festival thanks the community, merchants, restaurants, businesses, contractors and professionals for their participation in the fifth annual Mariposa Butterfly Festival. The success of the festival came from the co-operation from every entity of our town. The Mariposa County Board of Supervisors, Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Sheriff and the Mariposa County Fairgrounds all played important parts in the cordination of the event.

The school children and the teachers of Mariposa not only had the opportunity to raise and release butterflies but also help create special art work in our walkway that brought great enjoyment not only to themselves but to all festival attendees.

The local press coverage for the festival this year was great. I think every event article submitted was printed. Thanks so much.

The hardest working people of the festival were the many volunteers. Many stepped up and went beyond their call of duty and put that extra effort that made the event not only sucessful but memorable.

The list is too long to cover all the participants, so I want to acknowledge Mariposa in general for hosting this grand event. A thank you is really not sufficient when it comes to how our community pooled resources and made the 2010 Mariposa Butterfly festival the best one yet.
