Miller receives BofA honor for social science

JARRETT MILLER JARRETT MILLER Jarrett Miller, a senior at Mariposa County High School and the son of Doug and Marlene Miller of Mariposa, has been selected as the recipient of the Bank of America certificate for social science. Miller plans to attend Westmont College in Santa Barbara where he will study kinesiology and play baseball.

While at MCHS, Miller has been a standout athlete, playing four years of basketball and baseball. He was the junior male athlete of the year, was named to the All Southern League baseball and basketball teams, and received academic all conference awards as well.

Miller’s academic and personal achievements are many. He was the student of the year as a freshman, sophomore and junior. He received awards for excellence in AP English, AP history, and honors world history.

He is also a four-year member of the FFA Chapter, serving as sentinel as a junior. He sang in the advanced chorus and served as ASB athletic commissioner as a senior. Miller was the Basketball Club and Baseball Club president and was a Mariposa Little League umpire and Mariposa Youth Basketball volunteer.
