Keep it that way

What an awesome feeling it is to have our present slate of Mariposa County Board of Supervisors keeping spending under control. I’m from District 1 and am very pleased with Supervisor Aborn’s performance. He certainly is to be commended for establishing stability and credibility in my district, keeping his word, being honest and maintaining high morals and standards. He has kept his commitments from the last election, which is virtually unheard of in today’s politics.

You should note that he has adhered to the law in regards to the State of California elections code regarding sign placements and misleading statements on them. It is satisfying to report that records verify he has not abused his expense account since he has been in office. Nowhere in Mariposa County records can it be found that he has ever voted for any capital expenditures above and beyond reason that will leave the taxpayers paying for what we call a “dead horse.”

Many of us recall in the past we were left with excessive debt giving us a real bad case of heartburn that still lingers with us today. Mr. Aborn’s past business experience certainly has surfaced in the past three years. His philosophy of not spending one dollar more than income displays his management skills and professionalism. He does not commit unless he can deliver. There is no wish-wash with him. He will listen to good reason, and suggestions, but he will not cater to special interest groups. He is not afraid to say no when it is in the best interest of Mariposa taxpayers. When he says no it means no, and he will not waiver from that decision.

Ladies and gentlemen, keep in mind that Mariposa County is one of very few in the state that has a balanced budget and not operating in the red. Supervisor Aborn happens to be one of the five reasons. To upset the apple cart makes absolutely no sense in my opinion. Your vote for Supervisor Aborn is very important in maintaining the quality of life in our well-managed county government. Let’s help him keep it that way.
