Over the years, I have been in contact with my District 3 Supervisor, Janet Mankins-Bibby, regarding projects specific to Cathey’s Valley and items involving Mariposa County overall. Each time, Janet has made herself available, listened to ideas, and offered her own perspective and suggestions.

I am impressed with how responsive and knowledgeable Janet is, as well as how she researches, communicates, and makes decisions based on the facts and on the law. Although I might not always like Janet’s decisions, I realize I might not know all the details. I also know that Janet will explain her decisions to me if I ask. I believe Janet has earned a reputation for always being well-prepared, fair, and honest.

Janet’s two terms as a supervisor and her prior experience working in the legal field are a benefit. Janet is very aware of the history involved with many of the issues facing our county. She knows how to find the correct people in various agencies to get answers. She also knows how to work with agencies and the community to reach resolution. I appreciate that Janet is a rule-follower, which means everyone is treated the same – fairly. She is also willing to change rules if that is the majority consensus and it is legal to do so – in which case again, everyone is treated fairly.

Janet is committed and responsive to the community she serves and to Mariposa County as a whole. I don’t think we could find a better person to represent and serve District 3 than Janet Mankins- Bibby. Please vote to re-elect Janet to the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors.
