ALYSSA SHARP Alyssa Sharp, the daughter of Randy and Christina Sharp of Mariposa, has been selected by the Mariposa County High School faculty as the Bank of America winner of a certificate for history.

Sharp has been an athlete, playing JV basketball and JV and varsity soccer. She is the current ASB special events coordinator, and was the FFA Chapter secretary and sophomore class representative. She is a member of the French Club, Spanish Club, and California Scholarship Federation, serving as the 2009-10 president. She has been on the honor roll all terms of high school.

She has received awards for JV soccer most valuable player, JV basketball coach’s award and team captain, most improved ag student, outstanding advanced parliamentary procedure and received her academic letter and bar.

She intends to attend Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and study communications. She would like to work as a journalist or columnist.
