A CHP helicopter assists rescuers on Middle Cathedral last week.Photo Courtesy of NPS A CHP helicopter assists rescuers on Middle Cathedral last week.Last Wednesday, a CHP helicopter helped Yosemite National Park Search and Rescue hoist an injured climber from the Cathedral Peaks area.

The 28-year-old woman from Seattle reportedly fell 30 to 40 feet and sustained back and head injuries with a loss of consciousness. The helicopter lifted her to El Capitan Meadow where she was transferred to a Med Light Air Ambulance crew. She was flown to Modesto for treatment of her injuries.

No other details or status have yet been released by the National Park Service.
