Contributors to the recent Civil War battle reenactment are listed on this sign near the battlefield. Many people and organizations contributed time, money, services and work for the event. About 900 elementary school students were at the site on Education Day. Over 1,500 paying spectators attended Saturday and Sunday, plus some 500 participants, vendors and helpers. "This was a community event," said Clayton Garrett, event coordinator. "We couldn't have done it without volunteers and contributors." The Long’s Mariposa Ranch donated use of the fields.
