Special music adds to dinner
Special guest musicians Jon Turner and MCUSD Acting Superintendent Aaron Rosander will perform at the first annual Woodland School Community Dinner on Friday, April 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the multipurpose room. The public is invited to attend the familyfriendly barbecue tri-tip dinner fund raiser and enjoy the entertainment.
Tickets for the community dinner hosted by the Woodland Elementary PTA should be purchased in advance. Adult dinners that include a large serving of tri-tip, green salad, potato salad, garlic bread, and a beverage cost $10. Child dinners that include hot dogs, potato salad, green salad, and a beverage cost $5. A limited amount of veggie dogs will also be available, and diners should specify if the order will be the vegetarian option. Tickets can be purchased from Woodland students and also the school’s office. There will be also be a limited amount of tickets sold at the door the day of the event.
The Mariposa Lions Club will be barbecuing. All proceeds from the event will go toward classroom enrichment at Woodland Elementary.
