Books Galore! at the Mariposa County Library, sponsored by the Friends of the Library from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Reformers Unanimous - a free addictions program held at the corner of 12th and Jones Street (next to the old First Baptist Church), every Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. For more information, call 966-5780 or 966-5542.

Narcotics Anonymous - meets at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (downstairs) from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous - noon and 7 p.m. at the fellowship hall at Pioneer Village, Highways 140 and 49 South, 966-3110.

Al-Anon - Lunch bunch meets the first Friday of the month at 12:30 p.m. For information, call Jane at 966-3423.

Bingo - at the American Legion Hall every Friday except the first Friday of the month from 1 to 4 p.m. Only $1.50 per card, minimum of three cards. All proceeds go back to the community.

Woodland School Community Dinner - from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Woodland School multi-purpose room. Adult tri-tip dinners ar $10. Children’s hot dog dinners ar $5. Vegetarian hot dogs are available. Tickets sold at the door. For information, call 742-0310.

Book signing - Local author Eric VonRaeder, will sign his new book Conquering the Fear of Rejection, at Windows on the World Books and Art in downtown Mariposa at noon, immediately following the Butterfly Days parade.

Senior Center - Bridge at 9 a.m.

Bootjack Stompers: Square and line dance workshop at Bootjack Stompers Hall. Line dance class with George Morrell begins at 6 p.m. Square dance class for new dancers with Bill Silver from 7 to 8:15 p.m. From 8:15 to 9:30 p.m. is the mainstream and plus workshop with Silver. Community Connections - meets for coffee, visiting, soup, or to play games from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meets at Old Schoolhouse at the corner of Dexter and Cuneo, Greeley Hill. Everyone is welcome.

Upper Room Community Women’s Bible Study - meets at the senior center in Mariposa. The regular study takes place from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Women of all ages are welcome, though no child care is provided.

Alcoholics Anonymous - noon and 5:30 p.m., men’s stag at 7:30 p.m. at the fellowship hall at Pioneer Village, Highways 140 and 49 South, 966-3110. Women’s group at 5:30 p.m.

Awanas - 5:45 to 8 p.m. at Grace Community Church of the Sierra, 3367 Woodland Drive. Family night, dinner at 5:45 p.m. Awanas, youth group, road to recovery and adult Bible study. For information, call Grace Church at 742-6136.

Writers’ Workshop - every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Mariposa Senior Center. All genres: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, memoir, etc. Everyone welcome. For information, call 966-4894.

Sewing Class - at the senior center from 9 a.m. to noon. Open to those 18 and older. For information, call 966-2611.

Celebrate Recovery - at New Life Christian Fellowship, 5089 Cole Road in Bootjack. Dinner at 5:30 p.m., large group at 6:30 p.m., small groups at 7:30 p.m. and Solid Rock Cafe coffee and dessert at 8:30 p.m.

Basic Christianity - is a 12-week course for women who want to learn about the Bible. No previous knowledge is necessary. Meet at 10:30 a.m. at the senior center. Child care is not available, but women of all ages are welcome. Call 966-4603 or 966-5216 for information.

Mountain Crisis Services - a children’s art workshop/support group is being held at 5079A Highway 140 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. For information, call 966-2350 or 742-5865.

Mariposa County Resource Conservation District - board of directors meets at 5 p.m. at the ag building conference room. Anyone who needs assistance in attending this meeting can call 966-3431.

Fish and Game Protective Association - board meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the clubhouse on Darrah Road.

Mental Health Advisory Board - meets from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Mariposa County Behavioral Health board room.
