Raymond plans for 25th annual celebration

The community of Raymond is planning for its 25th annual parade and celebration. It will be held on Saturday, April 17 in Raymond. The parade starts at 11 a.m.

This year’s parade grand marshalls are long-time Raymond residents Karen and Mike Hutchings. Pearl Harbor survivors will be honored in the parade, along with entrants with antique cars, equestrians and other characters.

There will be a big swap meet, craft fair and food fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Goldside Gunslingers bring their show to town throughout the day. The Jean Butterfield Bluegrass Band will perform at 1 p.m.

The Raymond Museum will be open all day. Horseshoe pitching will also take place all day in the park for free. For information about the festivities, call (559) 689-3303. For parade information, call (559) 689- 3341.
