Students short changed

Cathey’s Valley School has been on an Easter egg hunt for a $500 egg since spring, 2008, which they have yet to find.

In 2008, Theresa Castaldi approached Donna Cordeiro about an Easter egg hunt fund raiser for Cathey’s Valley Elementary to be held at Coyote Springs Ranch. Donna was informed that whether Coyote Springs made any money on the event or not, the school was to receive a minimum of $500. Castaldi referred to this offer as a “good faith community service.”

Some $500 for gifts and prizes were donated by the community for the school fund raiser. The fund raiser indeed took place at Coyote Springs that year.

Donna was present when they counted the receipts at the end of the day. The event had brought in between $600 and $700. Donna requested the check for the school. Theresa said she wanted to deliver the check to the school in person. The check was never delivered.

When people began to ask Donna about the check, she again approached Theresa. Theresa responded that Coyote Springs had not made a profit that day, so no money would be given to the school. She added that she had only intended to give the check to the school if she made a profit, a direct contradiction to what she said prior to the event.

This is just another prime example of the disingenuous nature of Theresa Castaldi and her bankrupt Coyote Springs Ranch.
