GARRETT SIMPSON Garrett Simpson, a senior at Mariposa County High School, has received the Bank of America certificate for instrumental music. He is the son of Aubrey Simpson of Midpines.

Simpson is a member of the Grizzly football and golf teams. He has been involved in Friday Night Live Mentoring, Project Smile and concert and jazz band, as well as being the drum major for the marching band.

During his tenure at MCHS, Simpson has received the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award, the Theresa Kimberly Arebalo Award, and a congressional nomination to attend a United States military service academy. He is the saxophone sectional leader in the band, as well.

Simpson plans to go to college through an Air Force program and study social sciences and counseling.
