Bust nets pot, dead raccoon and ferret

What began as a call of someone stealing clothes and wearing them, turned into an arrest for marijuana cultivation, burglary and possession of an illegal animal. Mariposa County Sheriff’s deputies went to an address on Cole Road on April 10 and found much more than they bargained for.

The suspect, David Maclean, was in possession of a leather jacket, cds and tools that belonged to the victim. Deputies also found a rotting dead raccoon in an unpowered freezer and a live ferret in the bathtub.

For the complete story, see this week’s Mariposa Gazette.
