Spring weather ends

Wet weather makes a return

The warm temperatures and sunny skies of the weekend will likely be gone by Tuesday, as a series of storm systems is poised to hit California.

According to the National Weather Service, rain could begin falling as early as tonight, with heavier and more widespread precipitation by Tuesday and Wednesday. Snow levels are expected to fall to 2500 feet by late Wednesday.

Heavy snow is possible about 6000 feet, with one to two feet of new powder expected to fall. The storm is also expected to bring gusty winds.  Chances of showers remain in the forecast through Easter.
