The Mariposa Butterfly Festival has announced its first annual poetry contest.

The contest is open to all Mariposa County school age children,  grade 12 and below.

Themes for the contest may be about butterflies or spring. Class groups are K-3, 4-8 and 9-12. Poems and entry forms must be received by April 16. They may be dropped off at the Mariposa County Library or at The Company Store in downtown Mariposa.  Entry forms are available at the above locations and online at Mariposabutterflyfestival.org.
