Sheriff’s Dispatch Log

March 15: •Threats were reported on a local Web site. •Medication was stolen on Coakley Circle. •Dogs were running along Highway 49 South near the William Sell Bridge. •There was a verbal dispute on Colorado Road.

March 16: •Deputies took a dog bite report at John C. Fremont Hospital. •Newspaper theft was reported on Ben Hur Road. •There was a physical dispute on Highway 140 at 10th Street. •Dogs were impounded after they chased chickens on Carleton Road. •There was a raccoon problem on Gusanillo Court.

March 17: •There was a juvenile issue on Millbrow Lane. •A student was unaccounted for at Spring Hill High School. •There was an issue that needed the attention of Adult Protective Services at the Miner’s Inn. •Deputies reponded to a disturbance on Colorado Road.

March 18: •Cows were on Merced Falls Road. •Dogs were loose on Laredo Drive. •Someone lost lottery tickets on Sierra Drive. •Dogs were chasing sheep on Poppy Lake Road. •Threats were reported on Coakley Circle.

March 19: •Dispatch took a report of a possibly missing person at Motherlode Lodge. •There was a stray goat on Highway 140 in Midpines. •Target shooting was reported on Bumgardner Mountain Road. •Deputies arrested an unwelcome person on St. Andrew’s Road.

March 20: •A weapon was found in cell at the Mariposa County Jail. •Someone refused to leave a home on Hirsch Road. •Shots were heard on Banderilla Drive. •There was a disturbance involving juveniles that may have been drinking on Eighth Street.

March 21: •There was a destructive bear on Spring Creek Road. •Horses were on Harris Road. •Two burglaries were reported on Hornitos Road. •Someone was shooting in the Coachman Road area.

The above listed calls are actual reports to Mariposa County Sheriff’s Dispatch. These are just a sampling of yesterday's calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
