The Falcons' smothering man-to-man time after time denied the Grizzlies offense and forced a bundle of turnovers.

Mariposa held a narrow 11-8 edge at the end of the first period, but Christian Brothers gained a 21-18 advantage by the intermission, and led in the third period by as much as 9 points, 29-20.

The Grizzlies scratched back to trail by 33-28 going into the fourth quarter, but couldn't keep from being eliminated in the first round after sailing through the Southern Athletic League undefeated. Mariposa was the only SAL team to make the playoffs this year.
