They inpsire us

What if, instead of believing that we’re here to take care of our pets, we discover that they’re in our lives to take care of us? Sure, we feed and shelter them, but they give us love, healing, amusement, loyalty and purpose. They inspire us to pray for them when they’re sick or wounded, and they break our hearts when they die. They evoke our love and sometimes, that love is so great, it spills over to our fellow humans.

I’m writing this because this is the time of year when it’s crucial to spay and neuter animals. The Catnip Society can help folks who are unable to afford to spay and neuter their cats. Catnip also will also help trap, spay and neuter wild and feral cats. So if you need assistance, the numbers if 742-1023. And if you can afford it, please donate to the Catnip Society as well as the Mariposa SPCA.

Thank you.
