In one of the most bizarre high school basketball games ever played on the varsity level in the MCHS gym, Mariposa downed Le Grand Wednesday night, 35-26, to move its Southern Athletic League record to 14-0.

Believe it or not, this was a varsity conest. Le Grand held a 9-7 advantage at the end of the first half, and the score was knotted at just 12-12 at halftime.

The Grizzlies managed to score 11 points in the third quarter to take a 23-17 lead, which they held through the balance of the fourth period.
