Mankins’ jersey is part of raffle
AN AUTOGRAPHED JERSEY, CAP AND GLOVES FROM NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS LEFT GUARD AND TWO-TIME AFC PRO BOWL PLAYER LOGAN MANKINS, AND AN AUTOGRAPHED SCRIPT FROM THE HIT TELEVISION SHOW NCIS ARE JUST A FEW OF THE ITEMS THAT WILL BE UP FOR BID AT THE MARIPOSA LIONS’ CRAB FEED ON SATURDAY.
Donations have been pouring in for the auction at the Mariposa Lions’ crab feed. Some of the items that will be up for bid are an autographed jersey, cap and gloves from New England Patriots left guard and twotime AFC Pro Bowl player Logan Mankins, an autographed script from the hit TV show NCIS, an autographed football from the 2009 MCHS Grizzlies football team, several items handcrafted by Mariposa FFA members, an overnight stay with two theater tickets at Harrah’s/Harveys Lake Tahoe, chiropractic treatments, haircuts, plumbing services, vehicle maintenance services, restaurant gift certificates, and much, much more.
The crab feed will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Mariposa Fairgrounds, Building A, a no-host bar opens at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 p.m. by members of the Mariposa FFA.
Take-out orders will be available from 5 to 6 p.m. Dinner includes over one pound of crab legs, potato salad, coleslaw, and garlic bread.
In addition to dinner, there will be a 50/50 drawing, auction and raffle. Amnyone who like to donate an item for the auction or raffle, contact Karen at 742-6985.
Tickets are $30 per person. There is no charge for active U.S. Military personnel in uniform. For ticket purchases, contact Earl at 966- 6852, or Chris at 966-3314, or Tom at 966-5680. Tickets are also available at Chase’s Foothill Petroleum on Highway 49 South at Ben Hur Road. Tickets are also available at the door.
Proceeds from this event benefit many community and youth activities including the Christmas tree lighting bonfire with Santa at the Courthouse, Kops for Kids, youth scholarships, Manna House, Little League, Camp Pacifica, Lions Eye Mobile, eye exams/glasses, grad night, health fair luncheon at the senior center, all star football, AYSO, Grizzly football banquet, youth basketball, Boys’ State, and FFA.
