County to hire counsel in Castaldi law suit

Decision will come at Tuesday's board meeting

The Mariposa County Board of Supervisors will consider hiring outside counsel to deal with the law suit filed by supervisor candidate Theresa Castaldi. The board is seeking to retain the law firm of Abbot and Kindermann in the matter.

In November, 2009, the board denied an appeal filed by Castaldi to build a 957 square foot structure on her Coyote Springs Ranch based on its decision that it did not fit agri-tourism regulations. As a result, Castaldi filed the law suit earlier this month.

The decision is expected to be made at Tuesday’s regular board meeting. For continued coverage of the Castaldi suit, search the archives at www.mariposagazette.com.

How about: to defend against

How about: to defend against a ridiculous lawsuit.

Another ridiculous waste of

Another ridiculous waste of taxpayer funds to defend an equally ridiculous building policy.
