Jan. 25: •Someone abandoned a dog at SPCA. •Explosions were heard on Lakeside Drive. •Someone could smell smoke on Smith Station Road. •There was a suicidal subject on Pine Street.

Jan. 26: •A great dane was found on Bondurant Mine Road. •Cattle were being chased by a quad on Highway 49 North. •There was a fight at Stage Stop. •A possible overdose was reported on Mormon Bar Crossing.

Jan. 27: •There was an out of control juvenile in Cathey’s Valley. •A coin collection was stolen on Elizabeth Lane. •A water tank was stolen on Bear Valley Road. •A possible prowler was reported on Ernst Road.

Jan. 28: •There was a traffic accident on Darrah Road. •An aggressive pit bull was loose at the 49er Trailer Park. •Juveniles were loitering in Mariposa. •There was a hawk in a building on Fleet Road.

Jan. 29: •Objects were on Highway 41 in Fish Camp. •Someone found an injured chihuahua on Buffalo Gulch Road. •Deputies took a grand theft report on Ashworth Road. •There was a noise complaint on St. Andrew’s Road.

Jan. 30: •Deputies responded to a domestic dispute at Miner’s Inn. •A vehicle was vandalized on Seventh Street. •There was a loose dog issue at the fairgrounds. •Someone was sledding on Summit Road in Fish Camp. •There was a large rock on Highway 49 South.

Jan. 31: There was a rockslide on Highway 49 North. •A man was laying on Highway 132. •Someone refused to leave a home on Deer Run Road.

The above listed calls are actual reports to Mariposa County Sheriff’s Dispatch. These are just a sampling of yesterday's calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
