CONTRIBUTED BY MARILYN SAUNDERS

DR. BILL ATWOOD DR. BILL ATWOOD The "Abraham Lincoln 'Self Made in America' Learning Exhibit" is coming to the foothills and Mariposa Rotarians heard all about it from Bill Atwood, Ph.D., principal of Mariposa Middle School. Dr. Atwood informed fellow Rotarians about the March 6 through April 1 exhibit recently.

Kiosks and interactive videos will be available to allow visitors a look at Lincoln from a more personal point of view than is usual. The Wild, Wonderful Women and Friends of the King Vintage Museum brought this exhibit to Oakhurst from the Lincoln Presidential Library in Springfield, Ill.

The exhibit is traveling to 40 sites throughout the country with only four of them in California. The King Vintage Museum is located at 40680 Highway 41 in Oakhurst.

School groups may reserve morning hours on Monday through Friday by contacting the museum at (559) 658-6999 or online at kingvintagemuseum@ sti.net. General visiting hours, Monday to Saturday until 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., are subject to morning school groups on weekdays. The museum is open from noon until 4 p.m. on Sundays.
