Weather closes schools

All Mariposa County Schools, with the exception of Yosemite Valley and El Portal Elementaries, are closed today because of snow. The district originally called a two-hour delay around 5:45 a.m., but soon changed that to an all-out closure.

Lots of snow fell at the higher elevations of the county overnight, making roads treacherous to navigate. Lake Don Pedro and Greeley Hill Elementary Schools were out yesterday, as well, because of a power outage.
